The Project
This Flagstaff great room already had a set of hand-hewn ceiling beams. The homeowners wanted a mantle that read as part of the same original design intent, plus a whole-home trim upgrade that carried the same craftsman language into every room.
We specified a hollow-box mantle sized to code clearance above the working firebox, hand-hewn to match the existing beams, and site-stained after install for the closest possible tone match.
The whole-home trim ran across three weeks on-site, coordinated with the homeowner's painter for a finished result inside a single continuous punch list.
