Decorative Shutters
Decorative shutters are built in the shop from solid stock and sized to the opening they sit against. Style, stile and rail proportion, louver or panel layout, hardware, and finish are all chosen per project, so the shutter fits the window rather than the window accepting a stock size.
Tier not published yetTiers show relative scope between product categories, not a price. Final pricing depends on the scope, materials, finish, and installation we confirm for your project.
What this covers
- Board and batten, louvered, and raised-panel styles
- Stile and rail proportions drawn to the opening
- Fixed mounting, or operable hardware with hinges and holdbacks
- Stain or paint finish to an approved sample
Design notes
- Shutter width is drawn from the opening so a pair reads as though it could close over the window.
- Solid stock and joinery are selected for how the shutter will be mounted and how much it needs to carry.
- Hardware is selected with the style, since an operable shutter needs hinges sized to the panel it swings.
- Wood is a natural material, so grain and color vary between boards in the same species and grade.
Materials
Approximately 3 to 6 weeks standard, 8 to 10 weeks for larger custom projects
